Tony, a third-generation cinematographer from Sydney, has built a reputation for his storytelling and diverse skills. He kicked off his career in 1999 as a camera tech at Panavision Australia, working his way up to DP on TV commercials by 2008. His passion for drama saw him win Best Cinematography at Tropfest for The Maestro, which opened the door to shooting Australia’s top drama, Home & Away. There, he handled everything from car stunts to huge festival scenes. Tony later directed Home & Away, a move that sharpened his understanding of storytelling and what directors and actors need from a cinematographer. He then directed Neighbours, eventually taking on the role of Creative Director, where he modernized the show’s look and feel. In 2022, he returned to cinematography full-time, shooting the award-winning The PM’s Daughter. A career highlight in 2023 was filming the UK-Australia drama Heat, starring Danny Dyer, and he also directed for Amazon’s revival of Neighbours. Tony’s work has earned him multiple ACS awards, and his wide-ranging experience helps him collaborate seamlessly with directors and crews to bring stories to life.
