Daughter (La Fille)
Synopsis
In a remote Belgian town, Bernard struggles to provide for his daughter, Marie, whose survival depends on a sinister secret. As winter tightens its grip, he finds himself torn between his duty as a father and the weight of his own conscience. When a wandering poet crosses his path, Bernard sees a glimpse of the man he once was—but also an opportunity. As the night unfolds, so does a harrowing tale of sacrifice, guilt, and the terrifying lengths we go to for the ones we love.

Jorge Sermini is a filmmaker drawn to the shadows, crafting visually arresting horror stories that explore the fragile boundary between beauty and monstrosity. His work thrives in the unsettling, where raw human emotion collides with the grotesque, revealing the darker facets of existence. Based in Belgium, Jorge is a director and producer.
His short film La Fille (Daughter) premiered at the Ramaskrik Film Festival, establishing his voice as a filmmaker unafraid to delve into the eerie and the intimate. Now, he is developing his first feature, The Shepherd, a visceral horror-western set in a world where greed is a consuming force. His approach is deeply cinematic, favoring practical effects, immersive environments, and storytelling that lingers long after the credits roll.
Jorge’s films are not just stories; they are experiences—haunting, poetic, and impossible to forget. Read less
