From the Screamfest stage to global box office dominance, Adam Robitel has become a powerhouse in the horror genre. A graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, Robitel’s Screamfest journey hit a high note on October 22, 2015, with the RealD 3D premiere of Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.

Box Office & Directorial Highlights

Robitel’s recent theatrical releases have grossed over $370 million worldwide, establishing him as a top-tier genre director:

  • Insidious: The Last Key (2018): Directed the most lucrative film in the franchise, grossing over $167 million worldwide.

  • Escape Room (2019) & Tournament of Champions: Directed the global hit for Sony Pictures, with the first installment grossing $156 million.

  • The Taking of Deborah Logan (2014): Earned critical acclaim as a "Netflix Horror Gem" and won an iHorror Award for Best Direct Release.

Writing & Future Projects

  • Creative Scribe: Beyond his directorial work, Robitel contributed rewrites to Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension and sold his original thriller Liminal to Fox2000 after a major bidding war.

  • The Craving (Netflix): Currently in pre-production as Co-creator, Showrunner, and Director for this series produced by Darren Aronofsky’s Protozoa Pictures.
