Married doctors William and Dakota Block (Brolin and Shelton) find their graveyard shift inundated with townspeople ravaged by gangrenous sores and a suspiciously vacant look in their eyes. Among the wounded is Cherry (McGowan), a go-go dancer whose leg was ripped from her body during a roadside attack. As the invalids quickly become enraged aggressors, Cherry and Wray (Rodriguez), her former significant other, lead a team of accidental warriors into the night, towards a destiny unknown in the new, extended cut of PLANET TERROR.

Sarah Wolfe was the only living survivor from the massacre at the Vanacutt Mansion, but no one believed her claims that ghosts were responsible for the gruesome murders that took place there. Now her recent and questionable suicide leaves her sister, Ariel, no choice but to devote herself to finding out who - or what - was responsible for her death. Ariel discovers that Sarah sent her the diary of the sadistic Dr. Vanacutt just before she died, offering clues to the diabolical evil that resides within the house. But the diary also makes Ariel a target in a deadly treasure hunt that leads a group of unwitting victims back to the Vanacutt Mansion, reawakening the terror imprisoned within the house on the hill.

Plot Outline:
Based on the New Orleans storyline from the original graphic novel, 30 DAYS OF NIGHT: BLOOD TRAILS follows George, an addict who seeks information for Judith, a vampire hunter. George plans to score one final job so he can leave town, but finds the road to salvation crumbling when his contacts start turning up dead. He must dodge vampires while navigating the underbelly of New Orleans to get his last payday and make it out alive.
